They won all 4 games in Round Robin play and took the Gold with a 3-2 win over Waterloo in the Finals. Great Job Boys!

A fundraiser organized by these 4 hockey sisters raised over $1,000 in the 3 hours of Minor Peewee games by selling baked goods. The money raised goes medical aid for Haiti.

The Guelph "Dr Barrios" Bantam house League hockey team had a fantastic week end by winning the Championship at the 8 th Annual Oakridge Classic 2010 tournament in London. The boys won their last 3 games with shut outs of 3-0,3-0 and 2-0 in the Final.

In the tournament the boy's won their first 2 games on the Friday over West Ferris and Willowdale. On Saturday they played a tough Barrie squad and lost 4-1. As fate would have it Guelph drew Barrie in the semi final on Sunday. Down 3-1 to Barrie late in the game Guelph rallied to score a pair. The tying goal by Brendan Skidmore was scored in the final two minutes with the goalie pulled.

There was a 10 minute 4 on 4 overtime that was an end to end thriller with no scoring. Then came a 3 on 3 period, that included a penalty shot for Guelph and a couple of break away chances for Barrie. Again no scoring. Finally in the 2 on 2 overtime period Braedon Gorgi tucked a nice shot under the bar for a thrilling win that had everyone in the rink on their feet. Throughout the overtime Jagr Cal stood on his head to keep Guelph in the game.

In the final, Guelph lost to a strong team from Tecumseh 6-3.

The coaching staff and parent's were proud of the effort by this group of young men throughout this tournament.
