Gryphons Beat First Place Rangers
The Gryphons put forth a complete team effort Monday night and it was enough to earn a 2-1 victory over the first place Oakville Rangers. Oakville has had the Gryphons number this season, but the boys played hard in front of a solid effort from goaltender Chris Linton and were able to hang on for a big 2 points. After a scoreless first period, Brett Allen forced a turnover that Joe Marra quickly put on net and Andrew Britton made no mistake on the rebound making it 1-0 for the home team.

Oakville came out hard in the third period and were able to tie the game at 1. However, the very next shift Ryan Elliott got the puck to the point, and Cam Angst fired a terrific pass to Caden Bower who tipped home the eventually game winner. The win keeps the Gryphons in striking distance of 2nd and 3rd place as they head to Chesley and Halton this weekend for a pair of road games. Great job Gryphs!
