2017-2018 AA - PeeWee - PeeWee AA Wins The Cup AA North American Championship
Submitted By Brad Klein on Sunday, December 10, 2017
The PeeWee AA team travelled to Buffalo over the weekend to compete in The Cup AA North American Championship Tournament.  The boys battled hard all weekend taking a 2-1-1 record into the semi-finals on Sunday morning.  Their semi-final match was against a familiar Tri-County rival, the Oakville Rangers outdoors at the amazing Riverworks Arena. An early goal set the tone and the Gryphons would never relinquish the lead taking the semi-final 4-2.

This lined up a final against Forest Hill who they tied 0-0 in round robin play.  It was a cold and snowy affair with pucks bouncing and getting buried in the snow as the game went on.  It was a battle for the entire game with the boys pulling off a 2-1 victory to take the Cup!  A great weekend for the players and coaches and thanks to all of the parents for their support.
And to top the weekend off the Atom AA team won the Cup for the 2007 group at the rink 15 feet away just minutes before.  It was awesome to have both teams together for a picture with their banners and cups!  Both teams made Guelph and GMHA very proud!
