Atom AA Advance To Tri County Finals
The Guelph Gryphons have advanced to the Tri County Finals Thursday evening as they doubled up the Caledon Hawks by a score of 2-1 in Game 6 of their playoff round robin.  The Gryphons finished with a 5-1 record and will meet the Burlington Eagles Blue in the Tri County Finals.

The Gryphies got on the board 3:18 into the contest.  Guelph worked the puck loose behind the Caledon net and Landon Mitchell slid a pass out to Logan Biser who quickly stuffed it into the net for an early 1-0 lead. Ryder Burns also drew an assist on the play.  The first period would end with the one goal lead holding up.

After a scoreless second period, Guelph got some much needed insurance with 6:47 remaining in the contest when Ryder Burns ripped a shot that found mesh off a scramble. Landon Mitchell assisted on the play for his second point of the night.   Caledon added a late goal with 24 seconds remaining to cut the lead in half but they would get no closer and the final score stood 2-1 in favour of the Gryphons.

Due to illness and injury and unavailable call ups, the Gryphons rolled with just 4 defenseman and Noah Milne, Nathan Schlitt, Zac Conroy, and Max Grimwood all responded with strong games.   Noah Savery also responded with a strong effort up front.  Parker "Beast" Shany was strong when called upon in the Gryphon nets to pick up the victory.

The Gryphons will now face the Burlington Eagles Blue in the Tri County Finals.  The series schedule has yet to be set.
