A - Atom - Atom A Gryphons Take Home Silver from Richmond Hill
Submitted By Joanne Bunnaman on Sunday, September 16, 2018
For a group who had yet to play a game as a team, the Atom A Gryphons had a fantastic weekend at the Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament in Richmond Hill. Going 3-1 in round robin, the boys were headed to the semi finals ready to play! The Gryphons came out on top, shutting out the Whitby Wildcats (blue) 4-0. This meant meeting the Orillia Terriers, the only team they had lost to all weekend, in the finals. As tough as Orillia is, the Gryphons came out ON FIRE and were first to put a goal on the board. Tied at 1 until the mid-3rd, the Terriers ultimately pulled ahead, earning the boys a well-deserved silver metal. Such heart and teamwork shown by this team. Congratulations boys and coaches! #gryphonhustle
