A - Minor Atom - Minor Atom A Gives Back in a Big Way!
Submitted By Tom Schuett on Wednesday, December 19, 2018
On Saturday December 15, 2018 the Minor Atom A Gryphons held a community toy drive supporting Women In Crisis and Emma's Toy Drive. To say the day was a success is an understatement. This team took their message and giving spirit to the streets and made a huge impact!

The day was chilly, but the spirit was warm and filled the air instantly. The players spent the day out front of Simply Wonderful Toys and spread their message of giving to holiday shoppers with courtesy, respect, and gratitude. We started with a handful of toys and by the end of the day the Minor Atom A Gryphons collected over $2000 in cash donations, $500 in gift cards, and enough toys/gifts to see a pick up truck bursting at the seams!

The effort put forth by this team will make a huge difference for so many. The Minor Atom A Gryphons are a true example of what we can do when we come together. A little time and effort can go a long way. The game of hockey is not just about the breakaways, goals scored and trophies won. Hockey is about adversity, building strong communities and coming together.

The Minor Atom A Gryphons realize how important it is to help those in our own community, after all, many community members stepped up to support them and their team this year, and our boys jumped at the chance to give back.

Congratulations Gryphons on your big win for your community and Emma's Toy Drive! Your parents, friends, and even strangers are beyond proud of your initiative and your action to help those in need. Many thanks to everyone who came out to support Women in Crisis/Emma’s Toy Drive, and help show our boys the power of giving.

Happy Holidays!
