Safety Alert for GMHA Members and Families: Reported Incidents at West End Community Centre
GMHA’s mission of excellence includes the safety of our members on and off of the ice. Over the last week it has been brought to our attention that there have been several incidents of attempted child luring at the West End Community Centre.
This is a reminder for parents and participants to remain vigilant with regards to child safety while attending any of the city facilities.
The City of Guelph is aware of the incidents and Guelph Bylaw will be increasing patrols at the West End Community Centre for the foreseeable future. All recreation centres are equipped with security cameras.
If you are ever faced with a similar safety issue at a city facility, please contact 911 immediately and notify the facility staff.
