Novice A - Pink the Rink Fundraiser
On November 23rd the Novice A team skated for a cause and ran a fundraiser at their home game to support the Canadian Cancer Society.  The team was inspired by the efforts of our local Guelph Storm also running a similar event the same evening.

Our visiting team, the Hespeler Shamrocks, were enthusiastic to join in and the two teams worked together to raise funds for the cause.  All the players are pictured below each holding a sign for who they were skating for that evening.

There was a sea of pink tape, pink treats and a fundraising raffle with top prize being a Zach Hyman autographed jersey.  The teams want to thank the Toronto Maple Leafs for this generous donation to our fundraiser! The team also wants to thank Paisley Road School and the Guelph Storm for donating additional prizes for the event.

This particular evening all the players, coaches and parents came together to make a difference within our local community. This teamwork and sportsmanship ultimately resulted in a tie game!

The two teams raised over $450 for the cause.  Great work Novice A Gryphons and Shamrocks!
