Out of Town Players

Players that do not call Guelph their Home Centre will need to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure their eligibility for GMHA’s Tryout Selection Process. You are considered an “Out of Town” player if your residency does not indicate Guelph as your home city.
There are some exceptions. Please contact Bryan Smith at [email protected] with questions.

Examples of Out of Town Players – Centre Wellington, Woolwich, Hespeler, etc.

Zone Players - The Guelph AAA Zone includes Woolwich, Centre Wellington and Arthur.  Players must present a Permission to Skate form signed by the proper authority within their Home Centre.  No player will be allowed to skate or try out without this consent form.

You will need to obtain this form from your Home Centre and have them email a copy to you and a copy to Bryan Smith at [email protected]. You can also upload this form to your tryout registration online form.

NRPs (Non-Resident Players) -  At the U12 age groups and above, Guelph can accept up to 3 Non-Resident Players to each AA team.

NRP Players must be pre-registered with their Home Centre for the upcoming season and present an NRP Passport in advance of attending tryouts.

You will need to obtain this form from your Home Centre and have them email a copy to you and a copy to Bryan Smith at [email protected]. You can also upload this form to your tryout registration online form.

F1 Waiver Players – This applies to players from ALL other Centres in age groups U10 – U16.
If you are an F1 Waiver player looking to try out in Guelph, you will need to provide all necessary waivers to Bryan Smith at [email protected] in order to be eligible to attend Guelph tryouts. Contact your Home Centre for the process to obtain the appropriate documents.

OMHA CENTRE PLAYERS must obtain an F1 Waiver from their Home Centre to be eligible to try out in Guelph.
NON-OMHA CENTRE PLAYERS (ie: Alliance, GTHL, etc.) must obtain an F1 Waiver from all require Centre's based on the OHF Electronic AAA Waiver Regulations.
