The Minor Atom Select’s got a big win Wednesday night over the Kitchener Junior Rangers. The game was very close after two periods with the Gryphons holding a slight edge in play and leading only 2-0. In the third period the Gryphons awoke and took the play to Kitchener scoring 6 goals. Leading the way for the Gryphons was Zack Polard with 2 goals and 2 assist, Riley Broderick had a pair of goals and Seamus Herron, Nathan Stam, Aydan McNaughton and Hayden Berwick all chipped in with a goal each. Jarret Coady and June McCormick shared the goaltending duties and both we brilliant when called upon. Great game Gryphons! Let’s carry this momentum into the tournament in Richmond Hill next weekend!!!
