Hot Streak Continues
The Select Atom Gryphons continued their hot play at home with a 4-2 win in a much anticipated re-match against their rivals from Waterloo. The team hit the ice with a tremendously positive attitude that they coupled with high energy to take it to the Wolves right from the first puck drop.
In front of a boisterous crowd, the Gryphons showed everyone in attendance just how close of a team they are. Strong defensive play limited their opponents scoring chances, and heads-up play in the offensive zone created opportunities for the home team that they were able to cash in on. Timely saves from the goalies enabled the team to breakout quickly and pass the puck with purpose. The team maintained their positive energy for the entire game, leaving Waterloo wondering what the license plate was on the truck that had just ran over them. That license plate read "GRYPHONS," and the truck was a hungry team that played for each other, firing on all cylinders.
