Peewee A goes back-to-back, defends Home Ice
Only two weeks removed from their first taste of Gold, the Peewee A Gryphons claimed the 45th Guelph Powerplay tournament, topping the Uxbridge Stars 3-1 in a back-and-forth affair.

Backed by two shutouts, the Gryphons finished 3-1-0 to cement fourth place through the Round Robin stage and a date in the Semi-Finals with the first place St. Thomas Stars. However, the local team harnessed the energy from the fans in a packed Sleeman Centre to slip past the Stars 3-2, and ultimately setting the match-up against third place Uxbridge.

As if grinding through five games in under three days wasn't enough, the raucous patrons gave the ultimate boost the Gryphons needed. Two quick goals and suffocating defense proved more than the Stars could handle, providing a fitting end to what was a terrific tournament.
