The Tyke A junior Gryphons found the win column
this weekend as they defeated the Halton Hills Thunder 1 – 0.
Tyson MB made several key saves early, and Finn P shut the door late as the Gryphon goaltending tandom turned in an incredible performance. Nicco S provided all the offense the Gryphons would need when he converted a beautiful pass from Evan P for the lone goal.
The pairing of Wyatt M and Tyson D was fantastic, winning puck battles and moving the puck quickly to pace the Gryphons in transition, while Auguste T and Gage T provided some incredible defensive support. Jax S and Ryan M were strong in all areas of the ice and Jamie N played an inspired game with his aggressive checking and defence.
The win combined with other results this weekend means that the Gryphons remain in the hunt for one of the top 2 positions in the Tyke 1 playoff loop. The Gryphons will continue their playoff push on Saturday when they host the Garden City Falcons.
