Novice Selects Squeak By Chargers
A goal in the opening minute was all the scoring in the game as the Guelph Gryphons Novice Selects edged the Acton Chargers 1-0 on Monday evening at West End.
Forty one seconds into the contest, Peter Schlitt worked the puck up to Declan O' Hearn. Nathan Bowman picked up the puck from O'Hearn and snapped it into the the top corner for the game winning tally.
The rest of the game was very tight checking with Guelph being turned aside on a couple of occasions by strong netminding from the Acton goalkeeper.
The Gryphons close out their season March 31 - April 2 when they travel to Barrie to compete in the Pro Oil Select Challenge.
