Atom AAA Update
After coming off a respectable weekend at the Hamilton Jr Bulldogs tourney, the atom AAA Gryphs traveled to Burlington Wednesday night and skated away with a 1-1 tie against the hometown Eagles.
Brady Smith opened the scoring in the second period on a twister wrister over the shoulder of the Eagles tender. The helper went to Hunter Solomon.
The Gryphs continued to apply pressure in an attempt to widen the goal margin, however it was the Eagles who struck next before the second period was over.
The third period saw both teams battle for the go-ahead goal but it was the defense and goalies that would have no part in allowing that to happen as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Next action for the atom Gryphs is saturday in Grey-Bruce to visit the Highlanders.
