Gryphons Make It Back To Back Wins
The Guelph Gryphons travelled to Brampton Thursday night to play the 45's. With a short bench on the defensive side the Gryphons played a hard game on the back end of a back to back. The powerplay opened the scoring early in the game when Isiah Katsube found Brett Allen at the side of the net who would convert to make it 1-0. Shortly after Logan Morrison would gather a pass from Joe Marra in the neutral zone and step into a slapshot just over the blue line that went post and in and gave the Gryphons a 2-0 lead.

Brampton would make it 2-1 on a lucky bounce shortly after Morrison's goal. However, Isiah Katsube quickly answered back tipping home a Ryan Goetz shot after some great down low work by Caden Bower to get Goetz the puck. Brampton would score early in the second on a tipped point shot on the powerplay. Back on their own powerplay Andrew Britton got on the board after Brody Waters found Jack Harper at the top of the zone who quickly moved the puck to Britton who found the top corner. Jack Harper would then capitalize on some great work by Caden Bower and Ryan Goetz down low blasting home a point shot to make it 5-2 at the intermission.

The third period saw Hayden Dunford make some key saves as the Gryphons pressed for more offence. Brampton would score late to make it 5-3 while Guelph could not find the back of the net in the third. Hayden Dunford was solid in net remaining undefeated in the regular season and Logan Morrison and Brett Allen added additional assists. Great job Gryphs!

Up next the Gryphons host the Southern Tier Admirals at the WERC Wednesday October 4th.
