The Novice A Jr. Gryphons Open Their Season With A Big Win!!!
Today the Novice A Gryphons played the Brampton 45's winning 10-0!

It was exciting to watch the Novice A Gryphons take charge early on in the game scoring 3 goals in the 1st period. The Gryphons continued their momentum scoring another 6 goals in the 2nd and 1 more in the 3rd period winning 10-0 against the Brampton 45's. Impressive passing and remarkable rebounds kept the Gryphon fans cheering for more but the best part of the game was the determined Gryphon defence; Austyn Lamorea, Jamie Newton, Banin Howden, Aiden Wamboldt, Jonathan Berthiaume and Royce Lin that stood their ground not allowing any opposition shots on net....WOW!!!! Gryphon goal scores; Tyler Kelly (3 goals), Reid McDonald (2 goals), Ayden Lamorea (2 goals), Andrew Brown (1 goal), Nick Clayton (1 goal) and Johnathan Berthiaume (1 goal). Gryphon goals would not have been possible without great assists by Alex Chappel (4 assists), Cole Gibson (1 assist), Jake Annis (1 assist) and Jaxson Shields (1 assist). Anderson Mau and Trenton Goode both get a shut out for goaltending.

The Novice A Gryphons played their first reg season game Friday night losing 0-8 against the undefeated Woolwich Wildcats. It was a slow start for the Gryphons as they allowed 6 goals in the 1st period but came back strong in the 2nd and 3rd only allowing 1 goal in each period. Despite the loss, the Gryphon goalies; Trenton Goode and Anderson Mau made a number of impressive saves that could have resulted in additional goals for the opposition.

The Novice A Gryphons look forward to their next game against the New Hamburg Huskies this coming Monday at 7pm.
