Great defensive play by Banin Howden, Jamie Newton, Aiden Wamboldt, Jonathan Berthiaume, Alex Chappel and Royce Lin helped to keep the puck out of the Gryphon end.

This past Wednesday the Novice A Jr. Gryphons played the Centre Wellington Fusion ending the game in a 3-3 tie. The Novice A Gryphons were all over the Fusion, passing, back-checking, winning battles and just out skating the opposition which allowed the Gryphons to get the first 2 goals of the game in the 2nd period scored by Jaxson Shields and Tyler Kelly. Assists by Cole Gibson and Jonathan Berthiaume. The 3rd period started off with the Fusion scoring 3 goals within the first 4 mins into the period. Down but not out, the Gryphons continued to fight back as Tyler Kelly scored his 2nd goal unassisted bringing the score to 3-3 ending the game in a tie. It was a great game to watch as the Gryphons all worked hard together in every play, pass and battle to contribute to the tie.

This past Friday the Novice A Jr. Gryphons played the Oakville Rangers losing to the 2nd place team 6-1. Andrew Brown scored the goal for the Gryphons assisted by Tyler Kelly and Jake Annis. Despite the loss, the Gryphons had a number of great shots on net but it was the "hot gloves" of the Rangers goalie that denied any additional goals for the Gryphon team.

The Novice A Jr. Gryphons look forward to the upcoming Power Play tournament taking place in Guelph November 17th-19th.
