Minor Atom A One Step Closer to Playoffs with a 5-2 Win Over the Shamrocks
The season has ended on the HWY 124 rivalry as the Gryphons beat the Shamrocks Saturday. Hespeler scored 1st followed quickly by Lodder answering back unassisted. The same line again tied the game at 2 when Georges found the back of the net (Fetcher, Lodder). Things got a bit feisty and the Gryphons found themselves on a power play. Lodder took full advantage sniping a shorty. Just over a minute later Redford found a gap and capitalized (Dubuc). And finally, shortly into the 3rd, Boon (Dubuc) scored a beauty.
Defense played great protecting the neutral zone & the offense used their passing game & back check skills to enforce their zone. Props to BOTH teams goalies' for the amazing saves (Hespeler behind the back glove save on that hard Bunnaman shot - WHAT?!) #29 Panchuk you should be proud of that performance - you make it look easy! #DDD
