The Bantam AE team are OMHA Champs! Our boys finished a great OMHA run by beating the Barrie Colts 3 games to 2 in the finals! It was a hard fought, physical series that saw 2 of the 5 games needing overtime to settle. In the end, our players prevailed with a 3 -1 win in game 5 at the Sleeman Centre. We would like to thank our: AP's, parents, family and fans who came out to cheer us on during their playoff run, it was awesome to see so many people get behind the team!
The team had an unbelievable 2017-2018 season, winning both the OMHA Championship and the International Silver Stick Tournament while finishing the season with 53 wins and only 5 losses and 4 ties. The team was an offensive force scoring 266 goals but even more impressive was their dominance defensively-only surrendering 62 goals in 62 games played and posting 26 shutouts! The team was truly a coaches dream with 17 players all dedicated to the same goal and willing to do the work and make the sacrifices necessary to see it all the way through to the championship!
