Minor Atom AA Open Season with 2 BIG Wins!!
Minor Atom AA Jr Gryphons are 2-0 to start the season!!!!
This past Tuesday the Minor Atom AA Jr Gryphons opened their season with a 6-3 win over the Garden City Falcons. Outstanding back-checking and defensive zone play by defence; Aiden Wamboldt, Jamie Newton, Ethan Bidner-Ellis, Royce Lin, Alex Chappel and Nathan McGregor helped keep the opposition away the Gryphon end. The Gryphon forward lines impressed all by working together to pass, battle and take a number of shots on net resulting in the BIG win!!! Great saves were made by Nathan Vaz who was in net for the Gryphons. Goals scored by; Avery Smith 2, Tyler Kelly 2, Jaxson Shields 1, and Alex Chappel 1. Assisted by; Colin Chate, Ayden Lamorea, Jake Annis, Chase Lough, Reid McDonald and Lucas Surette.
Today the Gryphons had their home opener winning 3-0 over the Burlington Eagles. The home town cheered as the seconds counted down resulting in a shut out for the Gryphon goalie Nathan Vaz. Impressive team work by all made it possible for the win! Goals scored by; Lucas Surette 1, Tyler Kelly 1, and Chase Lough 1. Assisted by; Ayden Lamorea, Colin Chate and Ethan Bidner-Ellis.
Shout out goes to our goalies Anderson Mau and Nathan Vaz who have been on fire making remarkable saves both during regular season and tournament play!!!
The Minor Atom AA Jr Gryphons look forward playing their next game Thursday October 4th @ 7pm when they take on the Niagara Falls Flyers.
