The Gryphons had their own secret weapon in #29 Panchuk who made several ridiculous glove saves, earning himself a shutout to start the season (his 3rd if you count the early bird tourney). Running with only 5 D due to injury, the D boys accepted the challenge with ease, not only protecting their zone like champs but rushing & shooting while the forwards covered the line.
