Minor Atom AE Headed to Tri-County Championships
Congratulations to the Gryphon Minor Atom AE's who have clinched a spot in the Tri-County
League Championships.
The team kicked off its round robin prelims with a gruelling battle against Flamborough which ended in a 4-4 tie, after a full period of overtime. Momentum pursued and with steadfast determination and hustle the team went on to take the series with five consecutive wins.
It has been a terrific season for this team! With a 39-17-6 record, they finished third in their division during the regular season, only behind Milton and Oakville. They brought home a Silver medal from the Markham Waxers Showdown Tournament and secured another Silver in the Guelph Power Play Tournament.
The team is excited to be advancing to the Tri-County finals and looks forward to facing Caledon over the next few weeks. Let’s go Gryphons!
