Atom AE Stumble in Ancaster
The Gryphons Atom AE traveled to Ancaster on Monday evening and surrendered a four goal lead in the third period to settle for a 4-4 draw in Tri County action.

The Gryphons got on the board 1:40 into the game when Nolan Lodder poked in a loose puck at the side of the net to give Guelph an early 1-0 lead.   2:18 later, Lodder struck again on a wrist shot from the hash marks.  Connor Laskowski drew an assist on the play.  The score stood 2-0 in favour of Guelph after one period of play.

4:54 into the second period,  Adrian Tersigni shot from the face off dot and then crashed the net for his own rebound to make the score 3-0.  Kenny Beynon and Peyton Smith drew the assists.    With 1:29 remaining in the second,  Peyton Smith fed Kenny Benyon a gorgeous pass out front and Benyon buried the puck to make the score 4-0 in favour of Guelph after two periods of play.

What had been a sluggish performance took a turn for the worse in the third.   Ancaster scored 27 seconds into the third and found life and energy.  They proceeded to dominate the Gryphons for the rest of game and finally tied the score on a 4 on 0 break with just 50 seconds remaining in the game.

The Gryphons embark on a four games in four days journey starting Thursday night when they host the Orangeville Flyers.
