Atom AE Improve To 4-0
The Guelph Gryphons Atom AE's improved their OMHA record to 4-0 on Thursday night with a tough 2-1 victory over the Woolwich Wildcats at the WERC.

The Gryphs opened the scoring 4:29 into the contest when Connor Laskowski slugged it out down in the Woolwich endzone and corralled a loose puck before walking out and sliding a beautiful cross-crease pass to an open Milan Wilson who sank his two foot putt into the open net to give Guelph an early 1-0 lead.  The Gryphons took their 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Woolwich responded with a tying goal 3:09 into the second and the score stood one apiece after two periods of play.

Guelph got the winner with 8:48 left in the contest when Nolan Lodder stepped out the corner to the high slot and wristed the up under the cross bar to put Guelph out front 2-1.  Peyton Markwood and Caleb Davison assisted on the play.

Fraser Litchfield was the winning goalie,  providing numerous dependable stops throughout the contest.

The Gryphons return to action next Monday when they once again travel to Ancaster to take on the Avalanche.
