Minor PeeWee AE Crowned Tri-County Champions
The Gryphon's Minor PeeWee AE team traveled back to Halton Hills Tuesday night to face the Thunder in Game 5 of the Championships as a determined group in hopes of avoiding a Game 6.

The Gryphon's were focused and ready to battle vs Halton wasting no time with a gritty first period goal by Kaitlyn Broeckel 1:26 into the game (assisted by Caysen Craig and Chance Piotto). Halton tied the game in the first period and continued to push back throughout the game as the two teams exchanged chances.

Midway through the second period the Gryphon's went ahead 2-1 with a goal by Cole Tobin that found it's way to the back of the net and proved to be the game winning goal (assisted by Tyson Borghese and Hal Griswold).

Throughout the game, key saves were made by Liam Charbonneau who was determined from the start to get the job done. Goalie Jake Heins had a solid series allowing only 2 goals as both tenders allowed only 5 goals over 5 games in the Championship series.

The final goal was a highlight reel goal as Chance Piotto went coast to coast with one thing in mind, scoring a beautiful goal midway through the third period (assisted by Cole Tobin) in what would prove to seal the deal for the Gryphon's and crown them Tri-County Champions in a 3-1 victory.

Congratulations to the coaching staff of Brad Broeckel, Shawn Taggart and Paul Hughes who worked hard all season in helping mold these players into more than just hockey players.

Wonderful season Gryphs!!
