U10-U13 PRE-TRYOUT DEVELOPMENT SKATES DETAILS:
Skater On-Ice Sessions
Consist of three (3) 50-minute skates led by GMHA skills coaches. Groups will be built based on the age and skill level of registrants.
Open to skaters born in 2015 through 2012. $75 for 3 skates, with sessions to be scheduled within the following blocks:
Thursday, April 11 - 5:30pm to 9:30pm (U of G)
Sunday, April 14 - 2:30pm to 6:30pm (U of G)
Tuesday, April 16 - 4:30pm to 8:30pm (U of G)

Goalie On-Ice Sessions
New this season, as part of GMHA’s continued efforts to provide more developmental opportunities for our young goalies!
Consist of two (2) 50-minute skates led by Dan Forrest Goaltending. Format is station-based instruction on goaltending fundamentals, with a 3:1 goalie to coach ratio. Groups will be built based on the age and skill level of registrants.
Open to skaters born in 2015 through 2012. $100 for 2 skates, with sessions to be scheduled within the following blocks:
Thursday, April 4 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm (U of G)
Wednesday, April 17 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm (U of G)

U14 BODY CHECKING CLINIC DETAILS:
GMHA will be offering all current U13 GMHA Players a pre-tryout checking clinic. Participation in these checking clinics is mandatory for all players intending to participate in 2024-2025 rep tryouts.
Although current 2023-24 GMHA players will not incur an additional cost for these skates, registration is still required.
Format
Once registration is complete, players will be grouped based on total numbers and playing level in the 2023-2024 season. This helps to ensure that all players are introduced to body checking along with others players at their same approximate skill level.
All players are expected to attend all 3 sessions. Instruction will begin with the basic fundamentals of proper angling and body checking and will progress in speed and intensity over the course of the 3 sessions. The focus will be on how to safely and legally give and receive body checks with the purpose of separating your opponent from the puck.
Schedule
The below schedule is the allotted ice times GMHA has secured and your child will be placed in three 50-minute time slots within those times:
Tuesday, April 9th - 5:00pm to 9:00pm @ U of G (Red)
Saturday, April 13th - 2:00pm to 6:00pm @ U of G (Red)
Tuesday, April 16th - 5:00pm to 9:00pm @ U of G (Red)

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024-25 GMHA SEASON
