Notice from the University of Guelph
As of May 31, 2019, U of G’s Guelph campus will become a tobacco - and smoke-free environment.
Creating a tobacco- and smoke-free campus helps us meet our commitment to supporting the well-being of the whole person and creating a healthy campus for everyone.

Our Tobacco- and Smoke-free Campus policy helps:
· protect non-smokers from second-hand smoke
· keep people from starting the habit
· support those who have decided to quit smoking.

What this means for our campus
Our Tobacco- and Smoke-Free Campus policy applies to everyone on campus, including visitors, conference delegates, sports teams and camp families.

It applies to the entire Guelph campus and Arboretum.
A map of campus boundaries is available online.

The policy includes:
· smoking
· vaping
· the use of smokeless tobacco (e.g., chewing tobacco).

You can learn more about the new policy at www.uoguelph.ca/smokefree.Supporting our community

The University is committed to supporting our community as we become a tobacco- and smoke-free campus. A variety of resources are available online for those who want help to cope, cut back or support a friend.

Together, we are creating a healthier campus for everyone.
