Early Bird Tournament Champions
The 2019/2020 season kicked off to a great start in the St. Catharines early bird tournament on September 6-8.
The team skated to a 5-1 record this weekend in St. Catharines at the early bird tournament. After a 3-1 round robin it was off to the semi-final. The semi-final game was hard hitting. The players faced a much larger and aggressive team from St. Catharines. The game went into OT and saw Guelph score a beauty to win the game 3-2. The final had the team up against an undefeated team from Hamilton. After a slow start from both teams, Guelph was able to get on the board first and scored a second not long after. Heading to the third period with a 2-0 lead, Guelph was able to score one more to make it 3-0 and secure the shutout victory for the win and tournament championship!!
