Effective Immediately - All Hockey Activities Suspended
As you may be aware, in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, professional, junior and amateur sports leagues/associations have suspended their operations until further notice. We have been advised by the OMHA of their decision to suspend all OMHA activities effective immediately. This includes both games and practices that are scheduled by the OMHA and it's members, including the GMHA until further notice. We will work with the OMHA over the coming weeks to monitor the situation and determine the impact this will have on the remainder of this season and for upcoming tryouts this spring.
"The Ontario Minor Hockey Association’s foremost priority is the health and safety of our participants, volunteers and hockey families. We have been proactively working alongside Health Canada, Hockey Canada and local public health officials in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of recent events, the OMHA Officers have made the decision to immediately suspend all hockey activities. We will be proactive in informing our constituents on all upcoming protocols and required actions as they become available."
