Do you have a background in finance and accounting and want to use your skills to volunteer for a great organization in Guelph? Guelph Minor Hockey Association manages house league, representative and hockey development programs for over 1,400 boys and girls in the Guelph area, and we are currently looking for a Treasurer to act as a member of our Board of Directors.
The term for this position is 2 years and will commence at the end of our Annual General Meeting, to be held in the summer of 2020 (exact timing TBD due to the COVID-19 Pandemic). You should have a relevant accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA, etc.) as well as experience with budgeting, bank reconciliations, audited financial statements and accounting best practices amongst other skills consistent with the profession. Previous work with Board of Directors and/or Not-for-Profit organisations would be an asset but not essential. The post will require some limited evening and weekend work.
