Our 2021-2022 season is winding down, but we
have a number of teams still in the midst of playoff battles and fighting hard
to go all the way. Good luck to all of our Jr. Gryphons teams as they continue
competing!
Without distracting too much from the season still underway, we want to make sure that families have some initial information on tryouts for the 2022-2023 season.
Spring vs. Fall
Last year’s tryouts were pushed to September by Covid shutdowns and starting this coming year some tryouts will remain in September. The timing of tryouts by age group is as follows:
U8/U9 ADP – September
U10 – September
U11 – September
U12 – September
U13 – September
U14 – April / May
U15 – April / May
U16 – April / May
U18 – September (some initial skates and evaluations may take place in April/May)
Spring Schedule
As noted above, U14 – U16 age groups will hold tryouts starting in April. Though specific dates and times are not yet available, the general timeline will be as follows:
AAA – Starting April 25th
AA – Starting May 2nd
A – Starting May 9th
BB (formerly AE) – Starting May 16th
Additional details will be released as they are available.
Registration
Rep hockey tryouts follow a sequential release process by which teams are selected by level, starting at AAA and continuing through AA, A and AE.
As in the past, there are 2 different tryout passes available:
AAA Tryout Pass ($80) – Players enter tryouts at the AAA level.
AA Tryout Pass ($60) – Players enter tryouts at the AA level.
Tryout registration for U14 – U16 is set to open on Monday, March 28th.
After April 10th there will be an additional late fee of $40 to register.
The final registration deadline for U14 - U16 tryouts is April 17th.
