The Guelph Gryphons U15 AL hockey team took home the coveted Ottawa River Cup this weekend, (Dec 6-8) showcasing their dominance against elite competition from Boston and Mont Royal. In a nail-biting gold medal game, the U15 AL Gryphons emerged victorious, capping off an unforgettable tournament run. 


Goaltender Jack McPhee was named Player of the Game for his outstanding performance in the final, delivering crucial saves that secured the Gryphons' path to glory. Captain Kye Dewhirst earned the title of team MVP, inspiring his squad with leadership and grit throughout the tournament. Meanwhile, Nathan Fish was honored as the Tournament MVP, a testament to his consistent excellence and game-changing plays.“This team gave it everything they had, and we’re proud of how they rose to the occasion against such tough competition,” said the Gryphons’ head coach, Eric Oh.
