U16 (2009) Rep Tryouts

Tryouts

Please note that because Guelph is both a AAA Zone and a AA Centre, tryouts are broken into 2 separate processes - AAA and AA-BB. All players must enter tryouts at AA; the decision to start at AAA is optional.

AAA tryouts are intended to identify and select the strongest players from the Guelph Zone to form the rosters of our AAA teams from U10-U18. While the tryout process is open to everyone, we ask parents to take into consideration their player's previous level of play when registering.

Beginning the tryout process at AAA may not be for everyone, and attending AAA tryouts solely as a means to access ice-time in advance of AA-BB tryouts creates challenging conditions for coaches and other players.

If you know your child is unlikely to be considered for a roster spot at AAA, we would appreciate if you would strongly consider entering the tryout process at AA.

  • Players from another OMHA Centre outside of the Guelph Zone require an F1 Waiver from their home AAA Zone for Centres adjacent to Guelph. Review the OHF F1 Waiver process for the specifics of what you may require.

  • Players from outside of the OMHA require an F1 Waiver from their home AAA Zone for Centres adjacent to Guelph. Review the OHF F1 Waiver process for the specifics of what you may require.

AA Level

  • Players from other OMHA Centres that do not offer a AA program must provide a Non-Resident Player (NRP) Form from their home association. A maximum of 3 NRP players can be selected to Guelph's AA team at this age.
