Player Evaluation Policy
GMHA policies governing the operation of the tryout process, player selection, and offering of positions.

U18 A & BB

REGISTRATION TIMELINE
August 5th - Player Evaluation Passes Registration Opens
There will be no deadline to register for each level.

REGISTRATION COST
PRICE: $60 per level
A separate $60 Player Evaluation pass is required for purchase at each level (A, B/BB, AL). For example, if your player is currently a "B" level player but wishes to attend Player Evaluations for "A", first purchase an "A" Player Evaluation pass. If your player is released, you can then purchase a "B" Player Evaluation pass. Please note that if you purchase both passes simultaneously and your player is selected for "A", the "B" pass will not be refunded.

If your player is released during Player Evaluations, you can immediately purchase the next level Player Evaluations pass.

All Player Evaluation Pass purchases are non-refundable, regardless of selection outcome, release, or attendance. By purchasing a Player Evaluation Pass, you acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be issued for any reason.

REGISTRATION
GUELPH U18 A & BB - PLAYER EVALUATIONS PASSES REGISTRATION

PLAYER SELECTION
As per GMHA Player Evaluation Policy the following roster restrictions for non Guelph players will be applied for the 2025-26 season:
AAA - Each Head Coach is permitted to roster up to ten (10) non-Guelph Zone players at the AAA level.
AA - Each Head Coach is permitted to roster up to six (6) non-Guelph Home Centre players at the AA level.
A - Each Head Coach is permitted to roster up to three (3) non-Guelph Home Centre players at the A level.
B/BB - Head Coaches are not permitted to roster any non-Guelph Home Centre players at the B/BB level.
Advanced League- Head Coaches are not permitted to roster any non-Guelph Home Centre players at the Advanced League level.

Guelph Zone players: are considered players that reside within the Guelph AAA Zone boundaries with a Home Centre as Guelph, Centre Wellington, Woolwich, or Arthur.

Guelph Home Centre players: are considered players that reside within the Guelph boundaries (Guelph, Rockwood, Ariss, Puslinch, and any other surrounding area that may have previously held a Right of Choice).

NEW TO THIS YEAR - If your player is offered a spot on one of these teams after they have attended Player Evaluations, you will be provided a PRIVATE link to register for the season. To accept this offer, you must complete your registration and registration payment* with Guelph Minor Hockey. Do NOT share the link. Do NOT use it for sibling registrations. We are obligated to remove these registrations if they occur.
*The registration fee is a mandatory payment that all players must submit to the Guelph Minor Hockey Association (GMHA) to participate in GMHA programming. This applies to players in Rep, ADP, AL, and House League. For players in Rep, ADP, and AL, the registration fee must be paid once you have been confirmed to a GMHA team to secure your spot. This fee is separate from your overall team fees for the season. The fee is applied to the overall team fee as an offset before team invoices are issued.

NOTE - A and BB evaluations run across a 7-8 day period with a slight overlap. The full evaluation schedule will be posted when available.
