OMHA Game 2 Norfolk Knights at Guelph Gryphons
Guelph came out to play for this game.
Guelph came out with more pep and determination in this game than they did this morning, skating hard and using the body in tight and wide open situations. The first saw a lot of end to end action with two fast teams. Early in the second Ty broke out of our zone around a Norfolk forward to their blue line, passed it over to Olin who buried the 1-0 Guelph lead. Unfortunately that was it for Gryphon scoring, despite a lot of great chances and some dominant up-ice play. But Norfolk had some speed and determination, and were able to get around Guelph to pop a few. The game went into the last couple of minutes 3-1, and with Sergio playing well, but pulled for the extra attacker, a blast from the Knights faceoff circle sealed the game at 4-1. Big game Saturday morning to keep Guelph's chances alive.
