DARYL BRINKE

I foster teamwork, respect, positive attitudes, and individual growth to achieve competitive success and enjoyment of the game.

We are proud to announce Daryl Brinke as our U10AAA Head Coach. This will be Coach Brinke’s first season with GMHA, as he comes westward to the Jr. Gryphons after spending time in Milton and the GTA. Last season, he led the Milton Winterhawks U9 Tier 1 squad, and spent last spring at the helm of the Toronto Bulldogs 2016 AAA team, a spring hockey club that enters various tournaments. He was also an integral part of the Prospect Hockey Lab last year, running development skates.

This is Coach Brinke’s fifth consecutive season being involved in youth hockey- he has spent a total of four seasons with Milton Minor Hockey, in addition to three years with the Bulldogs and two with the Prospect Hockey Lab. A coach who is continually looking to improve and develop, Brinke has countless coaching certifications, including instructional stream skating , instructional shooting and scoring , and Development 1. He stresses hard work, accountability and attitude as key attributes that make a successful team member at this level, and knows the value that a personal connection makes with players of this age group.  

We welcome Coach Brinke to the GMHA family, and are looking forward to helping our 2016 born players transition into AAA hockey!
