November Rep Team of the Month-U16 AAA, News (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

We are proud to announce the U16AAA team as our first Rep Team of the Month!

The team has played well on the ice with a 10-4-1 record. Along with great on-ice play, the U16 AAA team has also delivered off the ice. The U16's partnered with the One4Another project, helping sponsor a child in need. The U16's are matched up with a child in Uganda who suffers from a birth defect called, "Clubfoot". Each player on the team will raise $70 dollars, earning money through chores, cutting grass, shoveling snow etc. The money from the team will cover the sponsor's life-changing surgery, which reconstructs the child's ankles in the right position. By the end of the season, the hope is the child will be walking pain-free for the first time in their lives. This is the second year the team has participated in the One4another project, last season the U16's sponsored a boy named Sadala and this year they have sponsored a boy named Steven, who is pictured below. We want to thank the U16AAA team for proving what it is to be Gryphon!
