Pat Larock Tournament
The Guelph Gryphon Atom AAA team played their hearts out in their first tournament of the year in Peterborough this past weekend (Sept 11-13). Cambridge Hawks were on their heals as the boys shared the scoring among almost half the team with a 9-1 win to start off the tournament. They then played the Whitby Wildcats and came out winners ending in a score of 3-2. Saturday morning was a "Do or Die" game against Ajax-Pickering who were also 2-0, and though the boys played hard, they couldn't overcome the Raiders, losing by 1 in a 2-1 loss. Our last game was played in the home of the Peterborough Petes, and we finished on a good note with a 3-2 win over the North York Rangers. Great job boys - looks like it's going to be a great year!!
