The Minor Midgets went 4-0 in the tournament round robin with 13 goals for and 0 against. They advanced to the semi finals facing a good hockey club in the Georgina Blaze posting a 4-1 victory to advance to the finals. The Gryphons faced a tough team in the finals in the Root River Rangers from Sault Saint Marie. The game went back and forth for the better part of a period and a half when the Gryphons finally put one past a very strong puck stopper. The minor midgets held off the Rangers to post the victory and take the tournament championship.
Both teams fought hard to the bitter end. Well done!!
