Peewee A takes Gold in Montreal
A drive to La Belle Province proved successful when the Peewee A Gryphons finished off the CAN/AM Challenge Cup with a 1-0 victory in Montreal.
It took a 3-on-3 overtime goal to pull past the Clarington Toros in a re-match for the Gold Medal.
Overall, the team went undefeated by playing a strong defensive game with great goaltending, registering three shutouts and allowing just three goals overall. The team's mettle was put to the test against Vaughan, erasing a 3-0 deficit, scoring two goals in the final 1:38 to put the game back on even-footing.
A huge shout-out to the parents who arranged and attended our weekend events which included flying around the go-kart track. Most importantly, congratulations to the team for putting together a fun weekend and for getting the job done!
