Atom AA Off To Game 5 After 2-1 Defeat
The Atom AA Tri County final between the Guelph Gryphons and the Burlington Eagles will come down to a Game 5 Sunday evening in Guelph as Burlington edged the Gryphons 2-1 in Burlington on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams battled back and forth thru a scoreless first period. Burlington took the lead with 1:11 left in the second but as the period wound down, Zach McKnight picked up the puck in the Guelph zone and caught Burlington on a line change, racing down the ice and wripping a wrist shot by the Eagles netminder with only a few ticks left on the clock for the second period. The teams headed to intermission tied 1-1.
Guelph has numerous chances to win the game and series but with 4:30 left, Burlington scored the game winner to send the series off to Game 5.
