Minor Peewee AA Double Up Halton Hills
On Saturday afternoon, the Minor Peewee AA's traveled to Acton and it was worth the drive as the Gryphies doubled up the Halton Hills Thunder 4-2 in Bowen Division action.

After a scoreless first period,  all the scoring action came in a four minute span at the beginning of the second period.  41 seconds into the period,  Tanner Bothwell tucked in a rebound into the bottom corner off a scramble in front to make the score 1-0.  Andrew McMillan picked up the helper.  34 seconds later,  the Gryphons added to their lead when Oscar Johnson lit the lamp off a set up from Carden Rogers-Hickman.   However, 57 seconds later, Halton Hills got on the board to cut the lead in half.   1:54 after that,  Guelph restored their two goal lead when Matthew Stam slammed home a rebound to make the score 3-1.  Koen Smith picked up the assist.    Halton Hills didn't give up and came down the ice off the draw and scored just 12 seconds later to close the gap to one goal once again.   The second period would end with Guelph holding on to a 3-2 lead.

Guelph added some much needed insurance with just 4:38 remaining in the contest when Andrew McMillan drove home the rebound off of Nathan Schlitt's blast from the point.   The final buzzer sounded with the Gryphons taking home a hard earned 4-2 victory.

Ale Gruosso picked up another win in net with his dependable puck stopping.

The Gryphons return to action on Monday night when they host the Orangeville Flyers at Guelph WERC.
