Minor Peewee AA's Shut Out Orangeville

The Guelph Gryphons Minor Peewee AA’s travelled to Orangeville on Wednesday night for the return engagement of their home and home series.  Coming off of Monday night’s win, the Gryphons kept on rolling with a solid 2-0 victory over the Flyers.

The game winning tally came early in the contest.  Just 2:26 into the first period, Koen Smith worked the puck back to defenseman Nathan Schlitt off a draw in the Orangeville zone.   Schlitt stepped in and rifled a shot thru the five hole to give Guelph a 1-0 lead.

The one goal lead held strong thru halfway into the third period when Guelph added some insurance.   Tyler Chadwick controlled a loose puck in front of the Orangeville net and zipped it home for a 2-0 lead.  Zac Conroy drew the assist on the play.  Guelph kept the Flyers in check the rest of the way and skated home with a 2-0 victory.

Ale Gruosso (son of Fotini) was once again strong in the Guelph net to pick up the shutout.

Guelph currently holds down 1st place in the Bowen North Division with a 12-7-2 record.  They return to action next Monday when they host the Halton Hills Thunder.

We have firsthand knowledge of how a disability can impact the quality of life for individuals and their families. Her father’s determination to continue living and to refuse to let his diagnosis cause him to give up hope was a large part of Diane and Robert’s decision to enter into the home health field. Originally located in Kitchener, they moved the business home to Guelph in June of 2012, when they moved in with Diane’s parents in order to keep Keith, now in a power wheelchair and breathing with the help of a ventilator, living at home.
