Six years ago Diane’s father, Keith Slater, was diagnosed with ALS and given 6 months to live. Her father’s determination to continue living and to refuse to let his diagnosis cause him to give up hope was a large part of Diane and Robert’s decision to enter into the home health field. Originally located in Kitchener, they moved the business home to Guelph in June of 2012, when they moved in with Diane’s parents in order to keep Keith, now in a power wheelchair and breathing with the help of a ventilator, living at home.
