Gryphons had an off night in Halton Monday falling to the Thunder 5-2. The 1st period was strong but once the calls started in the 2nd, the boys couldn't beat out the 2 minute PKs. There were several outstanding defensive plays but it just wasn't enough this time around. Looking forward to the regular #gryphonhustle this weekend! After a frantic, scoreless 1st period, the game turned to offensive gold for the Gryphons. The boys put up impressive numbers on the weekend in a match-up with the Brampton 45's. The defense held the blue line well and were able to rush the puck with the support of their teammates. There were several multiple point players this game and special congratulations to #17 McKinley Shepherd on his hat trick plus assist! There was some first class hustle on the ice last night when the Gryphons faced off against the Oakville Rangers blue! Tons of shots on net in both ends but the goalies kept scoring low. Incredible game for #29 Panchuk who was ON FIRE in his net! 1-1 at the end of 3, the game went into sudden death OT. 5 minutes passed before #6 Kranendonk let got of a big shot from far out that found the back of the net! The Gryphons traveled to Ancaster Saturday for game 1 of their Tri-County playoffs. After 2 losses to the Owen Sound Jr Attack, the Gryphons came back with a vengeance last night vs the Burlington Eagles. #30 Lambert was outstanding in net & the D were stellar in their support. The offense was on fire with a final score of 4-1.
