Atom AE Earns Tie In Final Exhibition Game
The Atom AE Gryphons travelled to Waterloo on Tuesday night for a return match with the Waterloo Wolves of the Alliance.   When the dust had settled, the Gryphons skated off with a 4-4 tie.

The Gryphs got on the board right away as Connor Laskowski banged in a rebound off of a Caleb Davison shot just 27 seconds into the contest.   Just 2:11 later,  Guelph increased their lead as Oliver Fletcher poked in a loose puck to make the score 2-0.  Laskowski and Kai Stone assisted on the play.  Waterloo cut the lead in half three minutes later and the score stood 2-1 in favour of Guelph after one period of play.

31 seconds into the second period, Laskowski potted his second of the contest as he broke away from the Waterloo defense and snapped a shot inside the far post to make the score 3-1.  Waterloo answered back four minutes later to close the gap to 3-2 but Adrian Tersigni scored on a wrap around while on the powerplay to make the score 4-2 after two periods of play.

Waterloo did all the scoring in third.   The Wolves made it a 4-3 game with 4:02 left and then scored the equalizer while on the powerplay with just 1:07 remaining in the contest.

The two evenly matched teams are not done with each other as they will square off for Round 3 in the first game of the Milton Early Bird tournament at 9:00 Friday morning.
