 Danny Descary will lead the U14 AA Guelph Jr. Gryphons as Head Coach for the 2025/26 season, after serving as an Assistant Coach with the 2012 born group for the last two years. Prior to his time with the 2012 age team, Descary has been on the staff of the U14 AAA and U15 AAA teams in recent years. 

Coach Descary is a dedicated non-parent coach, focused on developing GMHA players on and off the ice. This will be Descary’s fourteenth season behind a Guelph Jr. Gryphon bench. Over that time, has won a total of 8 tournaments, while making 16 finals appearances.  All with teams ranging from the U11 to the U16 levels. A continuous and avid learner, he constantly seeks to improve through additional qualifications and from mentorship from the GMHA Development Team.

Descary is focused on developing confident, respectful and competitive players.  There will be a summer development plan, focusing on position specific training.  There will also be team training/building events throughout the summer.

ASHTON HARRIS-VAN HARTE
This will be Harris-Van Harte's third year with the 2012 age group as a non-parent and his 2nd with the AA program.  Ashton brings a great deal of insight, knowledge and experience to the team.  A current 3rd year University of Guelph student, Harris Van-Harte enjoyed a successful GMHA career as a Jr. Gryphon winning an OMHA and Silver Stick Championship in 2018. Ashton was also an assistant coach on the Single A 2012 born team during their run at the OMHA's in 2024.

JOEY KOSAKOWSKI
Joey Kosakowski returns to the 2012 age group as a non-parent after taking a year off to focus on his studies.  Kosakowski is a 2nd year University of Guelph student and current player on the Men's Lacrosse team as a Defensive Midfielder.  Kosakowski previously served as the Defensive coach during the U11AA and U12AA seasons.  Coach Descary was one of Kosakowski's coaches during his U13AA and U14AA seasons.  Joey is a tireless worker and moved on to play AAA for his U15, U16 and U18 years wining the OMAHA Championship in 2022.
