U14 AA Wins Forest City Fall Classic B Division
LONDON, Ontario - After a challenging start to the Forest City Fall Classic, the Guelph Gryphons U14AA team showcased resilience, skill, and heart, battling their way to a thrilling B Division Championship victory.
Friday’s opening games posed early challenges for the Gryphons, with tough losses to Orchard Lake Red 6-1, and London Green 4-2, but the team quickly regrouped and turned their tournament around.
The Gryphons then strung together four consecutive wins, starting with a 4-2 victory over the Nepean Raiders, followed by a solid defensive performance shutting out the Toronto Eagles 2-0. In the semi-finals, the Gryphons faced the Stratford Warriors in an intense back-and-forth battle, edging them out 6-5 in a high-scoring thriller.
The championship game against the Belle River Canadiens proved to be the ultimate test of nerves and determination. After a hard-fought match, the Gryphons clinched the title in heart-pounding overtime, proving their grit and teamwork could withstand any challenge.
