Minor Atom, 2015-2016, U9 (Guelph Minor Hockey Association)

The Guelph Gryphon Minor Atom AAA team ended their season on Sunday finishing 4th at the OMHA's in Milton.  It was tremendous playoff run and a successful finish to a long season.  Congratulations to the entire team!

The Guelph Gryphon Minor Atom AAA team upset the 2nd place Burlington Eagles 2-1 in their SCTA Semi-finals, to take the series 6 points to 0.  The Gryphons move on to the OMHA Championships March 18th in Milton.

The Guelph Minor Atom AAA Gryphons defeated Burlington 2-1 last night to take the first 4 points in their series to 6.  The next game in the series is Monday night 7:30 at WERC.

The Guelph Gryphons Minor Atom AAA team had a successful weekend at the SCTA's, winning their pool, and moving on to the league Semi-Finals.  It was tremendous accomplishment coming in as the 7th seed, and Guelph now plays Burlington in their upcoming series.  Congratulations on a complete team effort!

With Team Canada needing a win to clinch the 12 team Nations Cup in the final game of the tournament, the Guelph Minor Atoms defeated the Lakeland Hawks 2-1 in a shootout.  In front of a packed arena of participants waiting to see which country would win after the completion of this game, Guelph scored on their final shootout attempt to wrap up the tournament for Team Canada quieting the chants of "USA, USA."  Congratulations to the team for a successful weekend.

The Guelph Gryphons defeated Niagara 4-1 and Buffalo 8-4 to climb into 6th place, 3 points behind Niagara in the standings.  The next game for Guelph is January 19th in Burlington at Central Arena.  Then it's off to Ann Arbour Michigan for the Nations Cup.
